The great thing about getting a Light Sport Aircraft Or Special Light Sport Aircraft is the fact that you have a lot to choose from and have a lot of different options. One of those options is the FPNA Valor A-22. It's a great little 2 seater that is a SLSA and has some cool features that make it very attractive.

IMPORTANT: FPNA has a number of different airplanes and your going to want to make sure you find the right one for your needs. They have land planes, amphibian planes & float planes. In this article will be focusing on the Valor A-22 which is a land plane.

Here Is 2 Things That Make The Valor A-22 An Attractive
2 Seater Airplane To Buy...

First - It Is Somewhat Cheap To Buy New!

If you want, you can spend well over $100,000 USD on a 2 seater airplane if you load it up with all the options. The great thing about the Valor A-22 is that you can get a new one for well under six figures. In fact, according to their website you can get a new base model for $79,999.00 USD.(1)

That is not a bad price for a base model 2 seater! Sure you can add on lots of extra things if you want. You can even get it IFR certified and various other things. But if you are simply looking for a great little 2 seater to fly around your local area, this might be a good option for you.

Having a new 2 seater should save you from having to dump a bunch of money into like you might have to do if you bought a 20 year old 2 seater instead. Also, if you buy new - your going to take advantage of the upgrades in technology that have happened over the past couple decades.

According to the FPNA website, there are over 300 A-22's flying right now.(2) That's a good thing to know as you are not the only one buying this airplane.

Second - They Are Cheap Used (If You Can Find One)

The other interesting thing your going to want to know about this airplane is the fact that there are not a lot of them on the used market at any given time. That is a good thing as you don't want to see dozens of owners dumping their airplanes on the used market.

However, if you can find a used one you might get yourself a good deal. In fact, I was only able to find one used one on the market in my search. However, it was priced pretty good considering the hours on it.(3)

It was a 2008 model with 180 TT on it and they were asking $58,000 USD for it. That's a pretty good price for an airplane that just broken in! So keep looking on the used market and you might just find a good used one. If not, the new ones are priced very well also.
