Tecnam P2010

Tecnam P2010 – Here's A Great 4 Seater From Tecnam...

The one thing we know Tecnam is good at is manufacturing light sport aircraft's (LSA's) and twins. But now they have taken things one step further and are rolling out a great 4 seater airplane called the Tecnam P2010.

This is a very nice looking 4 seater that is sure to be as good as the rest of the airplanes that they have produced in the past. It looks great, has great specs & some really good features.

IMPORTANT: As of this writing the Tecnam P2010 is not ready to buy yet. That is okay though – sometimes it is good to have some time so you can get your financing in order and make sure you build up some hours on a rental airplane so you can hopefully get lower insurance premiums when you do get the airplane your looking to buy.

Here's A Couple Important Things You Should Know
About The Tecnam P2010...

First – It Has A Really Good Engine...

One of the most important things about buying any new airplane is what is under the hood. This is where the P2010 really shines. It is coming out with a Lycoming IO-360-M1a (180 hp) engine.(1)

The reason that this is such a big deal is because this airplane will be able to burn both aviation gas as well as car gas!(2) There are a few reasons why this is so important. First, if you have this airplane when they eventually get rid of LL100, your not going to have to worry about going through the process of getting your engine converted so it can burn car gas.

The other reason that this is so important is because of the fact that you have more options for fuel! You don't just have to rely on one type anymore...

The other thing that is so good about this engine is the fact that it is 180 hp. The reason that is good is because this airplane has a great balance between “power” and “economy”! The great thing about European aircraft builders is that they have been used to high prices at the pumps for a really long time.

That means they are very sensitive to making sure their airplanes are both economical and also can still perform very well. And the P2010 does a great job of both!

Second – It Has A Very Nice Cruise Speed...

The one thing I really like about this airplane is the cruise speed. According to the website, this airplane will cruise at 133kts(3). Considering the size or horsepower of the engine, that is a pretty good cruise speed.

Not only that, when you factor in that it is a very roomy 4 seater you can see that the speed was not compromised to make up for comfort. This airplane truly has it all - speed, power and comfort! And when you add all that together – you have a really nice 4 seater airplane that has been built on the foundation of decades of success.
