Pipistrel Sinus - An Amazing LSA Motorglider That Has Some Great Features...

If you want to get yourself a Light Sport Aircraft that will go a long ways and is fun to fly, your going to want to make sure you checkout the Pipistreal Sinus. This is an amazing motorglider that can really get you where you want to go without burring a lot of fuel...

IMPORTANT: Pipistreal who makes the Sinus, has kit airplanes as well. In this article will be focusing on the manufactured LSA version of the Sinus aircraft.

Here's Some Very Cool Things You Might Want To
Know About The Pipistreal Sinus...

First - It Has Some Great Design Features You Might Like...

The first thing I really like about this motorglider is the fact that you can take the doors of if you want! I have never flown with no doors, but I could imagine that it would be interesting. You'll have some pretty good air conditioning if you do this & I'm sure the sun won't be heating up the cabin.

If you are interested in being able to fly with no doors, this airplane can give you that option! Not only that, you can get this airplane as a tail dragger or nosewheel aircraft. Every pilot is different in terms of which gear version they like the best, so now you can choose for yourself.

Some people like the tail dragger as it gives you more options in terms of places where you can land and take off and other pilots simply like the nosewheel feature instead. Either way, you have your choice with this airplane.

Second - The Performance Specs Are Really Good On This Airplane...

One of the things I really like about this airplane is the fact that it only burns 3.1 gph at 110 knots.(1) I am not sure that it is humanly possible to get it below that amount. That is a pretty amazing fuel burn rate...

On top of that, 110 knots is a pretty good cruise speed to be going along at to only be burning 3.1 gph. Your going to be able to cover a lot of ground in this airplane without burning a lot of fuel.

The other great performance spec that really stands out with this airplane is the fact that it has an endurance without reserves of 7.5 hours!(2) That is a great endurance time for a small airplane like the Sinus. You can cover a lot of ground in 7.5 hours... Not only that, you have a lot of options in terms of flying around weather and getting to alternate destinations.

There is nothing worse then flying an airplane and having to stop every few hundred miles to get more fuel so you can keep going. And or not being able to get around weather because you don't think you have the range or endurance to make it to your destination.

All in all, this is a pretty cool little airplane with some great features...
